It is nice to have a gas alarm, a carbon monoxide alarm or perhaps a smoke alarm in the boat, in case of an accident. Unfortunately, there are several boats that have experienced gas escaping without you being aware of it. It can be fatal and it is therefore recommended to install gas and carbon monoxide alarms in both sailboats and motorboats. You may also want a water alarm, so you can hear if water enters the boat.
