VC Offshore - replacement for VC17, VC17m and VC17m Extra

To paint VC Offshore EU on top of your existing VC 17, VC 17m or VC 17m Extra, you need the following products:

Required Products:

• VC Offshore EU Antifouling:
  • This is the primary antifouling paint that replaces the previous VC 17 series.
• Sandpaper (fine):
  • To ensure good adhesion, it is recommended to lightly sand the existing surface.
• Cleaning agent (thinner):
  • To clean the surface of dirt and any impurities that may come from previous antifouling.
• Paint roller or brush:
  • For applying VC Offshore EU antifouling.

Procedure:

1. Surface Preparation:
   • Start by cleaning the bottom thoroughly. Remove any loose paint, dirt and fouling.
   • Light sanding of the existing VC 17 surface will improve the adhesion of VC Offshore EU.
2. Cleaning:
   • Make sure the bottom surface is dry and free of any dirt or impurities. Use a thinner to clean further.
3. Application of VC Offshore EU:
   • Apply the VC Offshore EU antifouling evenly with a paint roller or brush.
   • Follow the manufacturer's instructions for application and drying times.
4. Drying Time and Inspection:
   • Allow the antifouling paint to dry completely according to the manufacturer's instructions before launching the boat.
   • After drying, inspect the base for any areas that require additional application.
