We have a huge selection of antifouling here at the shop from well-known brands such as International, Hempel, Jotun etc. We would like to be your preferred partner when you buy antifouling and spare parts for boats and engines. We are sailors ourselves, and the antifouling you find at the shop and in our physical marine store in Næstved is precisely the antifouling we use on our own boats. It is very important to us that the products sold here have a quality that we can vouch for. We are a team that would love to help you find the right antifouling for your boat.

Which antifouling should I choose?

As a marine center, we recommend branded products. We put a lot of effort into painting the bottom of our customers' boats ourselves - something you should also do with your boat. Our experience as a marine center is that the cheaper antifouling paints do not keep the bottom of the boat clean in the same way as the well-known branded products. It is a lot of work to paint the bottom of a boat - that is why we recommend that you choose an antifouling paint that keeps your boat clean and free of algae all season.

Which antifouling paint you should choose depends on your boat and how you sail. As a rule of thumb, the speed you sail at determines which antifouling paint is right for your boat. For sailboats and motorboats that sail under 20 knots, we recommend self-polishing antifouling paint . For fast motorboats and racers that want maximum speed, we recommend hard antifouling paint . For wooden boats, we recommend soft antifouling paint . Did you know that International Micron 350 can be applied 12 months before launching?

Here at the shop and in our marine store in Næstved you will find antifouling from, among others, Hempel . International and Jotun , antifouling that we as a marine center use on boats we paint antifouling ourselves for boat owners. If you are looking for, for example, for Hempel Mille Xtra you will find it here, if you are looking for International Micron 350 you will find it here and if you are looking for Jotun NonStop you will find it here. Sometimes you will find extra good offers and campaigns on antifouling in the shop. If it is a color or size you cannot find – please contact us and we will find a solution.

Antifouling with or without biocides

Most antifouling paints contain biocides (a toxic substance), which are continuously released from the self-polishing antifouling paint. In this way, there are always active substances on the surface that prevent fouling on your boat. The antifouling paints you find in the shop are all antifouling paints that are approved and are on the Danish Environmental Protection Agency's list of approved antifouling paints. We recommend that you read the instructions for use carefully when opening your antifouling paint, and wear gloves so that the antifouling paint avoids contact with your skin.

Why paint the bottom of a boat?

The answer here is easy! Antifouling is a specially developed paint for boats! In the sea, there are various organisms and animals that would love to live on the bottom of your boat. Antifouling contains substances that prevent fouling of all the organisms that live in the water. With a location down to the Næstved Canal and our own quay, we can use our own yacht crane to lift boats up to 30 tons, put them on a stand and drive them directly to indoor or outdoor boat storage. We have approximately 4,500 m2 of indoor halls for winter boat storage - and approximately 15,000 m2 of outdoor area for outdoor boat storage. With us, your boat can be stored outdoors with or without a mast. We are on site every day - if the door to the store is closed, we are out on site.
