2-pole battery switch for manual ON/OFF control of marine battery and DC installations. It disconnects two electrical conductors simultaneously and is therefore suitable for use where both the positive and negative poles need to be isolated. This feature is particularly relevant for boats with metal hulls.
The switch is operated with a removable key, which makes it possible to secure the installation against unintentional activation. Four terminals on the back form two separate contact pairs, while the silver-plated copper contacts ensure the electrical connection.
The product is intended for systems up to 48 V DC and has IP65 protection. The documented short-term load is 2,000 A for 3 seconds and 1,000 A for 10 seconds. The operating temperature is from −40 °C to +85 °C, and the maximum recommended cable cross-section is 50 mm².
The switch is mounted in a panel through a 55 × 55 mm cutout. The front plate measures nominally 90 × 90 mm, and the installation depth is 55 mm. The two mounting holes are Ø7.7 mm with a 76.2 mm center distance. The four rear terminals have a nominal diameter of 10 mm and are used with cable lugs with an appropriate hole diameter.
