This citrus-based industrial adhesive remover from 3M is supplied as a 500 ml aerosol and is developed for professional cleaning, degreasing, and removing many non-curing adhesives. The citrus oil-based formulation is free from petroleum distillates and has a citrus scent.
The cleaner dissolves and removes, among other things, adhesive residues, labels, stickers, grease, heavy oils, tar, wax, silicone, ink, chewing gum, and other stubborn dirt. It can also be used for degreasing surfaces prior to bonding. After treatment, wipe off the dissolved residue with a suitable workshop cloth.
The product can be used on dry, cured painted or lacquered surfaces, vinyl, textiles, metal parts, tools, engine parts, and concrete. On sensitive or unknown materials, the agent should first be tested on an inconspicuous area. The product is intended for many non-curing adhesives and should not be considered universally suitable for all chemically cured glues or sealants.
The liquid is colorless to light yellow and has a density of 0.85 g/cm³. It is not water-soluble and consists mainly of d-limonene. The aerosol is highly flammable, pressurized, and must not be exposed to temperatures exceeding 50 °C.
The product is intended for industrial and professional use and not for general indoor household use. Use with adequate ventilation, and avoid inhalation of spray and vapors as well as contact with skin and eyes. Keep the container away from heat, sparks, open flames, acids, and oxidizing agents, and protect it from direct sunlight.
In case of risk of exposure, use suitable safety goggles and chemical-resistant gloves. The container must not be punctured or burned, even after use. Contents and pressure vessel must be disposed of according to current regulations for hazardous chemical waste.
