Type-approved self-adhesive reflective tape for maritime life-saving equipment from 3M is supplied as a 2 m long roll with a width of 50 mm. The tape is used for retro-reflective marking of life rafts, lifebuoys, and other similar life-saving equipment.
The retro-reflective surface increases the visibility of the life-saving equipment when the tape is illuminated. The self-adhesive backing allows for mounting without sewing and is suitable for marking life-saving equipment on fishing vessels and merchant ships, among others.
The tape is RINA type-approved and MED-approved. The package contains 2 m of the 50 mm wide tape with item no. 22.300.03.
The product is documented for collective life-saving appliances with item no. 22.700.03 for 8 people and 22.700.04 for 12 people. Since 1993, these life-saving appliances must be equipped with the reflective tape in question.
