Openable bimini base with ball joint for direct mounting on a Ø25 mm tube. The base is a mounting component for bimini tops, boat canopies, and sunshades, where the bracket must be attached to an existing tubular structure rather than a flat surface.
The two-part, openable design allows the base to be mounted around the tube. The component is part of a modular bracket system where the base connects to a suitable tube mount or end component via the ball joint.
The base is manufactured from AISI 316 stainless steel with a mirror-polished finish. The swivel seat is made of nylon and forms the contact surface in the ball joint coupling.
The interconnected parts can be quickly separated by pulling out the safety pin. This makes the design suitable for installations where the bimini or sunshade frame needs to be removable without removing the base from the tube.
Documented components in the same mounting system include a flat base with item no. 46.680.00 as well as a 90° end component and a straight end component for Ø25 mm tubes with item no. 46.680.20 and 46.680.21, respectively.
