Garmin AIS™ 800 is a powerful blackbox AIS transceiver that significantly increases your safety on the water. With 5 watts of transmit power and Class B/SO (SOTDMA) technology, the AIS 800 provides faster and more accurate position reporting, so you can both be seen and see other vessels in good time.
The AIS 800 automatically transmits your vessel's information to other AIS receivers in the area while simultaneously receiving AIS target data from surrounding ships. This gives you a much better situational awareness – especially in heavy traffic, poor weather, or when sailing in the dark.
The built-in VHF antenna splitter makes installation simple, as AIS and VHF can share the same antenna without loss of performance. The unit also features a built-in GPS with the option to connect an external antenna, ensuring stable and accurate position data.
With both NMEA 2000® and NMEA 0183, the Garmin AIS 800 integrates easily with compatible Garmin chartplotters and other multifunction displays. Everything is contained in a compact blackbox that is easy to mount and fits discreetly into modern boat installations.
