This NMEA 2000 Micro-C terminator connector with 120 Ω resistor from Amphenol LTW is a passive female terminator for the proper termination of an NMEA 2000 backbone. The terminator is mounted at the end of the network and contains the necessary resistor between pins 4 and 5.
The connector features five female pins, a straight design, and a Micro-C screw coupling for connection to a corresponding NMEA 2000 Micro-C male connection. It is intended for networks where marine electronics such as GPS, wind, depth, and AIS equipment communicate via the common NMEA 2000 data bus.
The integrated termination resistor is 120 Ω with a tolerance of ±5% and a power rating of 1/4 W. The terminator connector is specified for 60 V and 3 A. The NMEA 2000 Micro system classification includes 22 and 24 AWG, but this terminator is supplied without a fixed cable.
The construction consists of blue PU overmolding, a black PU inner connector body, a nickel-plated zinc alloy coupling nut, and gold-plated copper alloy contacts. An O-ring is included in the seal. The IP68 rating applies in the properly mated condition and is specified for immersion in 1 meter of water for up to 24 hours.
The terminator connector has an overall length of 24.0 mm and a maximum diameter of 15.3 mm over the coupling nut. The operating temperature is from −20 °C to +85 °C, and the construction is tested for 48 hours of salt spray.
