This anti-twist mast ladder is designed for safe and stable access to the masthead for maintenance, repair, and inspection of sailboats. The ladder is made of heavy-duty textile webbing with robust aluminum rungs and is engineered to resist twisting, ensuring it remains stable during use.
The ladder is secured at the bottom using the two prepared loops – ideally below the boom fitting – and is then tensioned using a halyard. When the ladder is correctly tensioned with the boat's winch, each rung automatically locks into place via a self-tensioning system. This ensures a rigid and stable ladder that does not rotate, even when the user leans away from the mast.
The ladder is sized for masts of approximately 14 meters, where the ladder length of 12.60 meters allows for comfortable work at the masthead. When the ladder is properly tensioned, the user will be standing with the masthead roughly at chest height from the top rung.
