This DAB+ digital radio adapter from Aquatic AV consists of an external digital radio receiver and antenna for compatible DAB+-ready radios in the Aquatic AV 6 series. The AQ-DAB+ module makes it possible to receive digital DAB and DAB+ radio stations via the radio's dedicated DAB input.
The adapter supports DAB Band III from 163.3 to 240.06 MHz as well as DAB L-Band from 1452 to 1492 MHz. The antenna system has linear polarization, an impedance of 50 Ω ±5 Ω, and a noise figure below 2.0 dB. The gain is at least 19 dB ±2 dB on Band III and at least 12 dB ±2 dB on the L-Band.
The module operates at 12 V and has a power consumption of 30 ±5 mA. The antenna is connected via SMA and is supplied with a 3 m cable so that the antenna can be positioned appropriately in relation to the radio and reception conditions.
The AQ-DAB+ is documented for the Aquatic AV MP6/MP600 and CP6/CP611. Related head units include the CP6 with item no. 29.548.79 and MP6 with item no. 29.548.81. The receiver is connected to the radio's dedicated DAB input, after which the DAB mode is selected on the radio. Upon first use, the radio automatically performs a scan for available stations.
DAB+ coverage depends on the country and local transmission conditions. Therefore, check the local network coverage before installation. The package contains both a DAB+ receiver and a DAB+ antenna.
