This Aquatic AV CP6 marine stereo is a compact, panel-mount audio solution for boats and other installations with a 12 V battery supply. The integrated 4-channel Class A/B amplifier delivers up to 4 × 45 W at 4 ohms or 4 × 72 W at 2 ohms, allowing it to power up to four speaker channels.
The CP6 supports Bluetooth audio, USB, MP3, AUX, and built-in AM/FM radio. DAB+ can be added using the separate receiver with item no. 29.548.83. The monochrome TFT display features blue backlighting, a clock, and adjustable brightness of 100% or 30%. The radio has memory for 18 FM, 12 AM, and 18 DAB+ stations.
Connections include a rear USB input with 2.1 A charging, a stereo RCA pair for AUX, a 2 V stereo RCA pre-out, an antenna connection, and a port for the WR6 remote control. Sound features include DSP EQ, presets, manual bass and treble adjustment, balance, fader, and loudness. Two external 12 V trigger outputs with up to 3 A per function can be used to control items such as power amplifiers or relays.
The front panel is made of ABS, while the chassis is aluminum and mounting hardware is stainless steel. The circuit board features conformal coating. The IP65 rating protects against dust and water jets, and the construction is tested for 500 hours of UV resistance according to ASTM D4329 and 500 hours of salt/fog resistance according to ASTM B117. A silicone cover protects the front panel when the stereo is not in use.
The front panel measures 157 × 102 mm, and the chassis depth behind the mounting surface is approximately 89–90 mm. The front protrudes 23 mm from the mounting surface. Installation can be performed with a rectangular cutout of 111 × 51 mm or with two overlapping Ø76.2 mm holes with 50.8 mm between centers. The mounting surface must be clean and level so that the seal can seat correctly. Exposed wire connections must be soldered and protected against water and dust.
The operating voltage is 10.5–14.4 V DC, the maximum power consumption is 10 A, and standby consumption is less than 3 mA. The speaker load must not be lower than 2 ohms. The stereo can be expanded with the WR6 wired remote control, item no. 29.548.82, a handheld remote control, item no. 29.548.77, as well as the DAB+ receiver with item no. 29.548.83.
