The floating wireless marine remote control Aquatic AV RF6 is a handheld RF remote control for compatible Aquatic AV 6-Series marine audio systems. It comes with a USB charging cable and has a range of approximately 12 m, allowing the audio system to be operated without a permanently installed control unit.
The backlit LCD screen can display song, track, and system information from supported audio sources. Operating options include power on and standby, source selection, volume, mute, play/pause, next and previous track, as well as FM scanning. Depending on the connected stereo and audio source, functions such as fast forward and rewind, FM presets, USB folder switching, random playback, EQ selection, Virtual Bass, and control of external trigger outputs are also supported.
The remote control has a built-in rechargeable lithium-polymer battery and is charged with 5 V DC via the included USB charging cable. The standby time is up to 15 days per charge. The LCD screen turns off after approximately five seconds of inactivity to reduce battery consumption and is activated again by pressing any button.
The floating construction and IP66 rating are designed for use in maritime environments. The remote control is tested for UV resistance according to ASTM D4329 and resistance to salt spray according to ASTM B117, both with stability after 500 hours of testing. The product measures 138 × 66 × 20 mm in height, width, and depth.
The RF6 is compatible with Aquatic AV 6-Series stereos, including documented product groups such as BlueCube 6/BlueCube+, MP6, CP6, SWA6, and the 6-Series Digital Media Locker. It is also related to audio devices with item numbers 29.548.60, 29.548.75, 29.548.79, and 29.548.81. Models with the designation 6UBT usually have a built-in RF receiver, while 6BT models usually require an external RF receiver. An external RF receiver is not included.
Pairing is initiated by holding down the MODE button until the LCD screen displays the pairing function. During AUX playback, the remote control cannot control tracks or receive track information, and USB and FM functions require that the connected stereo supports them. The overall model designation is AQ-RF-6UBT, the handheld transmitter component number is AQ-RF-6UBT-T, and the charging cable component number is AQ-RF-6UBT-C.
