Reinforced PVC edge profile with neoprene seal for fiberglass is a flexible, black profile for edging and framing fiberglass edges with a thickness of 2–4 mm. The profile is supplied as a 50 m roll and is suitable for, among other things, storage compartments, hatch cabinets, engine boxes, and engine covers.
The profile is made of flexible, reinforced PVC with a flexible steel insert. The reinforcement supports the shape and retention of the profile around the edge, while the flexible design allows it to follow the contours of the edge.
The integrated sealing part is made of expanded neoprene foam and functions as a waterproof sealing lip. The combination of edge profile and gasket integrates edge protection and sealing into one profile.
The cross-section of the profile measures 26 mm in width and 14 mm in height. The measurement of 2–4 mm indicates the edge or material thickness that the profile fits, and is not the thickness of the profile itself.
Installation is performed by fitting the profile around the relevant fiberglass edge. Gluing, screws, or other separate fastening are not specified. For edges with a thickness of 4–5 mm, a documented alternative variant is available with item no. 44.493.02.
