This automatic battery isolator with separate coil supply is a single-pole, electrically remote-controlled main switch for 24 V battery systems. It can be installed in either the positive or negative battery cable and is designed to electrically connect or disconnect the battery from the vessel's loads.
The battery isolator can be controlled via an ignition or starter key with a suitable auxiliary contact function, so the main power is automatically disconnected along with the ignition. Alternatively, the activation coil can be operated with a separate ON/OFF switch independently of the ignition key. The switch can be placed discreetly and thus function as a simple anti-theft device.
The single-pole main contact is rated for 250 A continuous current and a maximum short-term current of 2500 A for 5 seconds. The main contacts are made of silver-plated copper, the terminal bolts measure 10 mm, and the housing has IP65 protection. Coil terminal 86 is connected to positive, while terminal 85 is connected to negative.
The product measures 144 × 95 × 98 mm and weighs 1.116 kg. The housing has four visible mounting points as well as a separate, removable protective cover over the connection area. The main power connections are designated 30/31 and 30A/31A.
