Automatic retractable shore power cable for flush mounting is a complete cable system for connection between the boat's 230 V system and a shore power pedestal on the quay. This version is rated for 16 A and features 15 m of cable with a cross-section of 3 × 2.5 mm² and a 3-pin plug.
The cable is pulled out manually through the hull feed-through and led directly to the shore power pedestal. After use, the cable retainer is released, allowing the internal retractor to automatically pull the extended cable back in. This keeps the shore power cable coiled and hidden when not in use.
Once the cable is retracted, the system is closed with a mirror-polished cover made of AISI 316 stainless steel. The closed cover has IP44 protection and provides a discreet finish on the outside of the hull. The IP44 rating applies to the closed box and should not be considered an IP classification for all exposed parts during use.
The internal retractor is supplied with adjustable mounting brackets. The retractor and the feed-through bushing can be oriented in different directions with a maximum recommended relative angle of 80°, providing flexibility for placement in the hull, locker, or another suitable installation compartment.
The documented installation dimensions are A: 220 mm, B: 400 mm, and C: 150 mm. The dimensional designations should be cross-referenced with the product's dimension drawing when planning the installation.
