AUTOTERM ARIZONA liquid heat exchanger with integrated fan in the ARIZONA 600 model is a 12 V fan coil for hydronic heating systems. The unit transfers heat from the circulating coolant to the room air and provides a heat output of 5.9 kW with ethylene glycol, along with a nominal air volume of 347 m³/h.
The integrated active fan draws air in through openings on the sides, passes it through the heat exchanger coil, and discharges the heated air through the front-facing air outlet. The fan has three speeds, which are selected using a dial on the front panel. A separate dial operates the integrated valve in the coolant circuit. The fan can also be used for air circulation when the heat source is not producing heat.
The heat exchanger is compatible with the AUTOTERM Flow 5 D, Flow 5 B, and Flow 14D. It can also be connected to an existing coolant circuit in a vehicle or engine. The related Flow heaters with part nos. 50.261.12, 50.262.12, and 50.262.24 can serve as the hydronic heat source, but the ARIZONA 600 itself always requires a 12 V electrical supply.
The front panel measures 269 × 198 mm and is made of heat- and impact-resistant ABS. The internal plastic part is made of polypropylene, and the removable front panel provides access to the unit's controls and fastening. The installation depth is 227 mm, while the rear mounting frame measures 249 × 178 mm.
The unit is intended for bulkhead or wall mounting through a cutout of 235 ±1 × 170 ±1 mm. The mounting frame is fastened through eight Ø3.7 mm holes. The fan motor shaft should be positioned horizontally whenever possible, and the unit must be mounted in a ventilated location. Do not drill into the housing, as this may damage the heat exchanger.
Coolant inlet and outlet have Ø16 mm connections. Hoses must be secured with suitable hose clamps, and the installation must be checked for leaks. The coolant must be frost-resistant, corrosion-inhibiting for copper and aluminum, and approved for cooling systems. The maximum permitted internal temperature is 100 °C, or 88 °C when used with an AUTOTERM Flow heater. The ambient operating range is -30 °C to +80 °C.
The electrical connection is two-pole, and a cable cross-section of at least 1.5 mm² is recommended. The separate 2-pole connector set FR052 fits the manufacturer reference FR012, but is not included. The eight screws for fastening the heat exchanger to the bulkhead are also not included.
