This exhaust skin fitting from AUTOTERM is an angled fitting for the discharge of exhaust gas from marine heating systems. It has a Ø 24 mm connection for the exhaust pipe and is intended for installation through the hull, topsides, or transom.
The fitting is manufactured from AISI 316 stainless steel, which is suitable for marine environments. The angled design distinguishes this variant from the standard version 50.255.01 and the version with a bend 50.255.02.
The product can be used as an optional exhaust skin fitting for the AUTOTERM Air 2D and Air 4D, as well as the Flow 5D/5B with a verified 24 mm exhaust system. The Air 8D and Air 9D use a 38 mm exhaust and are therefore not compatible with this Ø 24 mm variant.
The outlet must be positioned so that exhaust gas is directed safely overboard and water cannot reach the fitting. It must be installed at least 60 cm above the waterline and oriented upwards to reduce the risk of water ingress. At the same time, the location must prevent exhaust gas from being sucked back through the heater's combustion air intake.
The mounting hole must be at least 5 mm larger than the actual outer diameter of the fitting. A rubber gasket must be used between the flange and the hull, and the joints must be sealed with suitable exhaust cement or equivalent sealant. On sailboats, the fitting must be installed at the stern or in the transom and not on the side of the hull. Mounting parts and gaskets are not listed as part of the scope of delivery.
