This AUTOTERM exhaust thru-hull with bend, Ø 24 mm is designed to safely route exhaust gas from a compatible marine heater through the boat's hull and into the open air. The bent design allows for an angled connection of the exhaust pipe.
The thru-hull is made of AISI 316 stainless steel, which is suitable for the corrosive maritime environment. The connection is sized for an exhaust pipe with a 24 mm inner diameter. The product is mounted through the hull using the flange and its mounting holes.
Compatibility
The thru-hull can be used as an optional exhaust adapter for AUTOTERM AIR 2D and AIR 4D as well as the proven AUTOTERM Flow petrol and diesel heaters. Relevant heaters include item nos. 50.252.12, 50.254.12, 50.254.24, 50.261.12, 50.262.12 and 50.262.24.
Installation
The exhaust outlet must be positioned so that water cannot enter, usually at least 60 cm above the waterline, and so that exhaust gas cannot be sucked back through the heater's air intake. The hole in the hull must be at least 5 mm larger than the actual outer diameter of the thru-hull. A suitable gasket must be used between the flange and the hull, and the adapter and piping must be oriented upwards to reduce the risk of water ingress. On sailboats, the exhaust adapter must be placed at the stern and not on the side of the hull.
The joint between the adapter and the exhaust pipe must be properly secured and sealed. The AUTOTERM clamp ASSY AT9-0021-AF0 with a clamping range of Ø 26–28 mm is a proven supplementary product for attaching AUTOTERM DE019 exhaust pipes to Ø 24 mm exhaust adapters.
