BIG battery terminal clamps for high current are a set with one positive and one negative terminal for direct mounting on round, tapered battery terminals. The clamps are intended for high-current installations, although a maximum current rating is not specified.
The terminal bodies are made of nickel-plated brass, while the bolts and nuts are made of stainless steel. The metallic, silver-colored surface is due to the nickel plating. The positive and negative terminals are clearly marked with + and −, respectively.
The two terminals have different cable connections to reduce the risk of confusion: The positive terminal has an M10 thread, while the negative terminal has an M8 thread. The battery cable is mounted with a suitable cable lug or ring terminal on the top threaded connection. Both connections have a specified thread/engagement depth of 7 mm.
The clamps are tightened around the battery terminals with a transverse bolt. The total dimension is 52.8 mm, and the maximum width at the round cable connection is 28 mm. The connection boss measures Ø20 × 15 mm, the clamping bolt hole is Ø8.2 mm, and the center-to-center distance between the battery terminal and cable connection is 20 mm.
The positive terminal's conical pole opening is specified as Ø17.6–19.0 mm. The negative terminal has a specified pole opening of Ø16.4 mm. Delivery includes the pair of clamps themselves; insulating caps are not documented as included.
