When paired with a compatible GPS navigation device, the BC 35 wireless backup camera is a versatile Wi-Fi-enabled camera that can help drivers easily see vehicles, pedestrians, and other obstacles behind the car.
If the camera is connected to the backup lights for power reasons, your compatible Garmin navigation device can automatically display camera footage whenever the vehicle is put into reverse – and back to navigation mode when a forward gear is shifted. Alternatively, you can connect the system to a constant power supply, which allows you to switch between navigation screen and backup screen functions with the push of a button.
The guide lines on the screen can be adjusted to fit your vehicle size, making it easier for drivers to gauge reversing distance. Up to 4 cameras can be used simultaneously in 1 system, for multiple viewing angles when reversing.
The BC 35 is rugged enough to withstand even the harshest weather conditions. Garmin recommends taking the BC 35 to your dealer for professional installation. If you're a DIY enthusiast, that's also a good option. You'll need to mount the camera on the back of your car and connect it to a power source, such as the taillights.
