This Bera shaft anode is a wide zinc anode for boat shafts with a 45 mm diameter and 85 mm outer diameter.
The anode protects the shaft, propeller, and other metal parts against galvanic corrosion by corroding instead of the more expensive parts.
Metal inserts at the bolt holes contribute to electrical contact during operation. Clean the shaft of paint and rust before mounting, and tighten the bolts so the anode is secure during sailing.
