This BAC Bera 300/200 mm zinc ring anode is designed for boat hull protection, shielding hulls and metal parts against galvanic corrosion.
The anode corrodes instead of the more expensive metal parts and is mounted directly onto the hull. The contact surface must be free of paint and rust to ensure direct metal-to-metal contact.
The ring anode is part of the BAC Bera series and is produced in Denmark. Zinc performs poorly in freshwater, where aluminum or magnesium anodes are used instead.
