BOMAR Contour low-profile deck hatch is a rectangular, openable deck and passage hatch with a clear opening of 315 × 445 mm. The low profile provides a projection of only 24 mm above the deck mounting surface, making the hatch suitable for traditional deck openings and larger access openings on boats.
The frame is manufactured from white epoxy-coated aluminum and fitted with smoked, tempered glass. The construction is based on an extruded 6061 aluminum profile with marine-grade fittings, fasteners, and support arm in 316L stainless steel. The rounded outer corners reduce the risk of lines or sails snagging on the hatch.
The hatch features hidden hinges integrated into the profile as well as adjustable locking handles that ensure controlled closure. It can be held in a lockable ventilation position, allowing for ventilation without fully opening the hatch. External operation can be established with the optional handle kit, item no. 19.715.02.
Installation requires a deck cutout of 340 × 470 mm. The nominal external dimensions are 410 × 540 mm, and the cutout has a corner radius of 43 mm. The hatch is CE-approved, and the series type approval has been performed according to ISO 12216:2002 with IMCI certificate HPOMP163.
As optional mounting accessories, the interior finishing flange with item no. 19.720.08 can be used. Additionally, there is a sunshade with item no. 19.720.21 as well as compatible OCEANAIR screen systems for BOMAR 1029, including item nos. 19.801.02, 19.802.02, and 19.803.02.
