This BOMAR Contour round low-profile deck hatch is an openable deck hatch with an external diameter of 588 mm. The low-profile construction has a protrusion of 24 mm above the deck and provides access, daylight, and ventilation through the deck without unnecessarily high edges.
The frame is made of heavy-duty, extruded 6061-aluminum with a white epoxy powder coat for marine use. The robust acrylic lens is mounted in a hinged lid, while hardware and fasteners in the series are made of 316L stainless steel. The rounded low-profile design is free of sharp corners that could snag lines or sails.
The model is N1139-10P. The P-configuration has internal plastic hinges and should not be confused with the N1139-10A, which has external aluminum hinges. The hatch features adjustable quick-action locking devices, three locking handles, a ventilation position, and a maximum opening angle of 95°.
The primary mounting dimensions are an opening diameter of 493 mm and a round cutout of Ø 518 mm. The product-related N1139-10P drawing shows a cutout of approximately Ø 516 mm and a clear opening of approximately Ø 487 mm. Therefore, always check the specific dimension drawing or the physical hatch before making the cutout.
The hatch is CE-approved. Mounting hardware and accessories are supplied separately. The variant-specific inner frame has part no. 19.724.13, and the matching insect screen has part no. 19.724.18. External handle kit 19.715.02 can be used, and one kit is ordered per handle.
