Smooth A1 marine fuel hose from the CARBOPOMP series is a flexible, textile-reinforced rubber hose for marine fuel systems in recreational craft. It can be used for fuel supply to permanently installed inboard engines as well as for filling fuel tanks on vessels with a hull length of up to 24 m. Several dimensions and coil lengths are available as variants.
The A1 classification makes the hose suitable for gasoline, unleaded gasoline, diesel, and biodiesel, as well as E10 and B10 fuel. It is intended for oil and fuel products with up to 50% aromatic content as well as unleaded gasoline with up to 15% oxygenated compounds. A1 may be used for gasoline installations where the lower A2 class is not permitted.
The construction consists of a smooth NBR inner tube with high-strength synthetic textile reinforcement and a self-extinguishing CR/NBR outer cover. The hose is non-spiral reinforced and resistant to abrasion, heat, fuel, oil, ozone, and marine environmental factors. The flexible softwall construction has a smooth surface with a textile or fabric impression.
Depending on the variant, the temperature range is from −20 °C to +80 °C, the burst pressure is over 10 bar, and the bending radius varies by dimension. Coil lengths include 10, 20, and 40 m. When installing, hose connectors, hose clamps, routing space, and other components must be dimensioned according to the inner and outer diameter of the selected variant.
The hose meets ISO 7840:2021 class A1 and SAE J 1527:2011 USCG A1, where specified for the variant. It is CE marked and approved by RINA and Lloyd’s Register. ISO 7840 covers gasoline, gasoline/ethanol blends, diesel, and diesel/FAME blends, but not hoses that are located entirely in the motor well at the transom and connected directly to an outboard engine.
