Bulgin Buccaneer cable connector with male contacts is a 2-pole, circular male connector for free cable mounting. The connector is rated for 10 A and 250 V AC/DC and is used together with a corresponding Buccaneer socket with female contacts.
The polarized and keyed connection helps ensure correct mating. The connector system's screw coupling provides a stable mechanical connection, and when the connector is correctly assembled and mated, the connection achieves IP68 protection.
The housing is made of glass fiber-reinforced nylon, while the contacts are made of nickel-plated brass. The material combination is designed for demanding electrical installations, and the connector system has a documented operating temperature range from −20 °C to +70 °C.
The connector fits the 2-pole external socket with female contacts, item no. 14.360.02, as well as the 2-pole panel-mount socket with female contacts, item no. 14.370.02.
The Buccaneer connector system is RINA type-approved and specified in compliance with NATO military standards.
