CABINET 2-way marine speakers are a pair of passive, coaxial cabinet speakers for indoor and outdoor marine installations. The black version delivers 20 + 20 W RMS and up to 40 + 40 W peak power for the pair.
Each speaker features a 2-way system with a 3" woofer/midrange driver and a 1" tweeter. The frequency range is 75–20,000 Hz, the sensitivity is 90 ± 2 dB at 1 W/1 m, and the nominal impedance is 4 Ω. The low magnetic interference design reduces the impact on compasses and sensitive instruments nearby.
The IP65 protection makes the speakers suitable for humid and exposed environments. The cabinet is made of plastic with a powder-coated aluminium front grille. The cone is made of mica-filled polypropylene with a thermoplastic polyurethane surround.
Each speaker measures 191.5 mm in height, 98 mm in width, and 114 mm in depth. They are surface-mounted using the included adjustable U-bracket in coated stainless steel, allowing the speaker direction to be adjusted to the installation.
The speakers are passive and require a separate amplifier. They can be used with Bluetooth amplifiers with item nos. 29.749.02, 29.749.04, and 29.749.06. The Bluetooth functionality resides in the separate amplifier and is not built into the speakers.
The design is RoHS compliant and tested according to ASTM D4329 and ASTM D2244 with a 600-hour UV test, ASTM B117 with a 400-hour salt spray test, and IEC 268-5 with a 100-hour test.
