This Carling Contura II illuminated marine rocker switch features an ON-OFF-(ON) switching sequence and is designed for panel mounting in 12 V installations. It has one maintained ON position, a central OFF position, and one momentary ON position with spring return. The variant has four terminals and is recommended for bilge pumps with automatic and manual operation.
The switch has two white bulbs with separate functions. One light can be connected as constant backlighting for the symbol, making the switch easy to find in the dark. The second light illuminates the indicator slot below the symbol when the connected function is activated.
The contact mechanism is rated to IP56 and has a maximum current capacity of 20 A at 12 V. It is mounted in a rectangular panel cutout of 21.5 × 36.8 mm. The overall dimensions are 49 mm in height and 25 mm in width, while the depth behind the front is 39 mm.
The external symbol rocker with actuator is not included and must be ordered separately. For bilge pump installations, symbol rockers with item no. 14.194.07, 14.193.67, 14.193.37 or 14.193.07 can be used, among others.
During installation, the connected load must be kept within the switch's maximum capacity. The ON-OFF-(ON) sequence makes the switch suitable when one function needs to run continuously, while another function should only be active as long as the rocker is held in the spring-returned position.
