This Carling Contura II marine rocker switch with dual illumination is a panel-mount 24 V switch with an ON-OFF-ON switching function. The three maintained positions make the switch suitable for controlling bilge pumps with automatic and manual operation, as well as navigation and mast lights.
The switch has six terminals and a maximum contact rating of 15 A at 24 V. The switch body is designed for snap-in mounting in a 21.5 × 36.8 mm rectangular panel cutout. The IP56 rating provides protection against dust and powerful water jets, which is relevant for installation in marine electrical panels.
The dual white illumination has two separate functions. One bulb provides constant illumination of the symbol on the rocker actuator, allowing the switch to be located in the dark. The second bulb illuminates an indicator below the symbol when the connected circuit is activated.
The switch body measures approximately 25 mm in width, 49 mm in total height, and 39 mm in depth. The black rocker/symbol actuator must be ordered separately so that the symbol and finish can be chosen according to the function and appearance of the installation.
Rocker/symbol actuator
The switch is used with a separate Carling Contura II rocker/symbol actuator. Actuators are available with symbols for navigation lights, anchor lights, and bilge pumps, among others, as well as neutral actuators without symbols. The actuators are available in black type A or B, white type C, and nickel-plated type V.
