This Carling Contura II illuminated marine rocker switch is a panel-mounted 24 V switch with an (ON)-OFF-(ON) switching function. Both ON positions are momentary, meaning the switch automatically returns to the center OFF position when the rocker is released.
The switch features four terminals and a maximum load of 15 A at 24 V. It is suitable for momentary up/down or in/out control of hydraulic gangways, anchor windlasses, and trim tabs, among other things, provided the installation load is kept within the switch's capacity.
The dual white illumination has two separate functions. One light source illuminates the symbol on the rocker and can be kept constantly on so that the switch is visible in the dark. The other illuminates a separate field below the symbol and serves as an activation indicator when the connected consumer is active.
The switch housing is water-resistant according to IP56 and mounts in a rectangular panel cutout of 21.5 × 36.8 mm. The housing depth is approx. 39 mm. The external symbol rocker is not included and must be selected separately according to the function the switch is to control.
Separate symbol rockers
For trim tabs, the symbol rockers with item no. 14.193.04, 14.193.34, 14.193.64, or 14.194.04 can be used. For anchor windlasses, item no. 14.193.14, 14.193.44, 14.193.74, and 14.194.14 are available. For gangway up/down, item no. 14.193.21 and 14.193.51 are available, while gangway out/in is covered by item no. 14.193.22 and 14.193.52. The correct rocker is selected based on the installation's function and desired design.
