This panel switch without actuator from Carling Technologies belongs to the Contura II series. It is a maintained ON-OFF switch with red LED illumination for 12 V installations, including electrical control panels in marine environments.
The switch has two lighting functions. One illuminates the symbol on the separately ordered actuator and can be constantly lit, making the switch easy to locate in the dark. The other illuminates the indicator field below the symbol when the connected function is activated.
The electrical load is max. 20 A at 12 V and 15 A at 24 V. The switch has four terminals and is IP56 rated, providing protection against dust and powerful water jets.
Mounting is performed as a snap-in installation in a rectangular panel hole of 21.5 × 36.8 mm. A symbol actuator is not included and must be ordered separately. Contura symbol actuators in the 14.193.xx and 14.194.xx families can be selected based on the desired symbol and surface.
The switch can be incorporated into panels with compatible frame parts from the 14.197 family. The range includes frames for single switches as well as inserts, end inserts, and blanking plugs for building larger switch panels.
