This Carling Contura II illuminated marine rocker switch is a panel-mounted 24 V switch with a momentary (ON)-OFF function. The ON position is spring-loaded, so the switch automatically returns to OFF when released. The function is suitable for horns, marine toilets, and other installations that only need to be active while the switch is being held down.
The switch has four terminals and a maximum contact rating of 15 A at 24 V. The built-in illumination uses white bulbs. In this momentary version, the light is linked to the connected function, meaning the light indicator is activated together with the consumer.
The design is water-resistant with an IP56 protection rating and intended for marine installations. The switch is mounted as a snap-in panel switch in a rectangular cutout measuring 21.5 × 36.8 mm. The switch body has an installation depth of 39 mm from the front flange to the terminal end.
The rocker actuator itself is not included and must be ordered separately. The switch uses compatible Contura rockers from the 14.193 and 14.194 series. For horn installations, items such as 14.193.03, 14.193.33, 14.193.63, or 14.194.03 can be used. For toilet and macerator functions, options include 14.193.83, 14.193.93, 14.193.84, and 14.193.94.
The choice of rocker depends on the function of the installation and the desired surface finish. Documented versions are available with black semi-rigid, black hard, white hard, or nickel-metallized surfaces.
