This Carling Contura II illuminated rocker switch is a panel-mounted, spring-return switch for onboard electrical control. This variant features the (ON)-OFF-(ON) contact function, 12 V illumination, two white incandescent bulbs, and four terminals.
Both ON positions are momentary. The switch therefore only activates the selected function while the rocker is held down, and it returns automatically to OFF in the center position when released. This function is suitable for controlling hydraulic gangways, windlasses, and trim tabs, where a movement or function must be activated in one of two directions.
The dual illumination serves two separate functions. One bulb can illuminate the symbol constantly so that the switch is easy to find in the dark. The other acts as an operation indicator, lighting up the slot below the symbol when the connected function is activated.
The switch is IP56-rated and installs with snap-in mounting in a rectangular panel cutout of 21.5 × 36.8 mm. The maximum load is 20 A at 12 V. The four terminals are designed for 0.250″ quick-connect spade terminals, equivalent to approximately 6.35 mm.
The symbol actuator is not included and must be ordered separately. For trim tabs, symbol actuator 14.194.04, 14.193.64, 14.193.34, or 14.193.04 can be used. For windlasses, 14.194.14, 14.193.74, 14.193.44, and 14.193.14 are available. For hydraulic gangways, 14.193.51 and 14.193.21 are available for up/down, as well as 14.193.52 and 14.193.22 for out/in.
