This Carling Contura II illuminated rocker switch is a panel-mounted 24 V switch with (ON)-OFF-(ON) switching function, two red LEDs, and four terminals. Both ON positions are momentary and spring-loaded, meaning the switch automatically returns to the fixed OFF position in the center when the rocker is released.
The two LED light sources each have their own function. One illuminates the function symbol constantly when connected, so the switch can be located in the dark. The other illuminates a separate field below the symbol and acts as an activation indicator when the connected function is active. The switch is rated for a maximum load of 15 A at 24 V.
The Contura II switch is IP56-rated and designed for installation in a rectangular panel hole of 21.5 × 36.8 mm. The switch itself measures 25 mm in width, 49 mm in height, and 39 mm in depth. It is based on the Carling Technologies V-Series Contura platform and is marked CARLINGSWITCH.
The switching function is suitable for controlling functions that require momentary activation in two directions. Documented applications include hydraulic gangways, anchor windlasses, and trim tabs.
The symbol rocker is not included and must be selected according to the function the switch is to control. For trim tabs, item no. 14.193.04, 14.193.34, 14.193.64, or 14.194.04 can be used. For anchor windlass control, item no. 14.193.14, 14.193.44, 14.193.74, and 14.194.14 are available. For gangway up/down, item no. 14.193.21 and 14.193.51 are available, while gangway out/in can be labeled with item no. 14.193.22 or 14.193.52.
The switch can also be mounted in compatible panel frames. Black frame parts include item no. 14.197.03, 14.197.01, 14.197.02, and 14.197.04. The corresponding white frame parts have item no. 14.197.63, 14.197.61, 14.197.62, and 14.197.64. Frames and symbol rockers are ordered separately.
