This Carling Contura II illuminated rocker switch is a double-pole, 3-position panel-mount switch. The switching function is (ON)-OFF-(ON), where both ON positions are momentary with spring return to the center OFF position. This variant is designed for 12 V LED illumination and is recommended for operating trim tabs, hydraulic pumps, and anchor winches.
The switch has eight terminals and can handle a maximum load of 20 A at 12 V or 15 A at 24 V. The load rating at 24 V applies to the switching function itself; the integrated red LED illumination is specified for 12 V.
The lighting system includes illumination behind the operation symbol for locating the switch in the dark, as well as a separate function indicator below the symbol that lights up when the connected function is activated. The desired symbol is selected via a separate Contura rocker actuator.
The switch has an IP56 protection rating and is mounted in a rectangular panel cutout of 21.5 × 36.8 mm. The rocker actuator with symbol is not included and must be ordered separately.
Rocker actuators and mounting frames
For trim tab functions, you can choose actuator 14.193.04, 14.193.34, 14.193.64, or 14.194.04, depending on the desired finish and color. For anchor winch control, 14.193.14, 14.193.44, 14.193.74, and 14.194.14 are available. Neutral actuators without symbols are available as 14.193.09, 14.193.39, 14.193.69, and 14.194.09.
For mounting a single switch, a black frame 14.197.03 or white frame 14.197.63 can be used. The series also includes center and end pieces for ganging multiple switches together.
