This Carling Contura II illuminated rocker switch is a double-pole 24 V switch with three positions, red LED, and (ON)-OFF-(ON) functionality. It is designed for momentary control of electrical equipment, where the circuit should only be active while the switch is being operated.
Both ON positions are momentary and feature spring return to the center OFF position. The design is suitable for up/down, in/out, and forward/reverse control, such as trim tabs, hydraulic pumps, and windlasses. The switch has eight terminals and double-pole switching.
The red LED provides illuminated symbol/status indication during momentary operation. The switch is rated for a maximum contact load of 15 A at 24 V and has IP56 protection for marine installations and other environments where protection against water and dust is required.
The switch is mounted in a panel with a 21.5 × 36.8 mm rectangular cutout. It is designed for snap-in mounting, allowing the switch module to be fixed directly into the correctly sized panel opening.
The symbol rocker is ordered separately and chosen based on application and desired finish. For trim tabs, rockers 14.194.04, 14.193.64, 14.193.34, and 14.193.04 are available, among others. For windlass control, 14.194.14, 14.193.74, 14.193.44, and 14.193.14 are available. Neutral rockers without symbols are available as 14.194.09, 14.193.69, 14.193.39, and 14.193.09.
The switch can also be mounted in black or white frame systems. A frame for one switch is available as 14.197.03 in black and 14.197.63 in white.
