Replaceable Carling Contura II rocker switch actuator with illuminated function symbol for modular marine and control panels. The Type B actuator is available with a wide range of function symbols for applications such as bilge pumps, navigation and work lights, pumps, trim, windlasses, battery functions, ventilation, instrument lighting, gangways, engine functions, and other electrical installations. A neutral version without a fixed symbol is also available.
The symbol field is translucent and can be illuminated by the light source in the compatible Carling Contura or Contura II switch base. Many variants also feature a separate indicator field, which can show when the connected function is activated. Lighting, voltage, contact function, and electrical ratings are determined by the switch base and not by the passive rocker actuator.
The actuator is made of hard-surfaced polycarbonate and features the convex Contura II shape with raised gripping points at the ends. It is mounted via snap-on attachment to a compatible switch base and can be removed and replaced separately. This makes it possible to change the function labeling or replace a worn rocker without necessarily replacing the entire switch.
Compatibility includes Carling Technologies V-Series Contura II switch bases in the 14.192 series. The series is available with various contact functions, including ON-OFF, ON-ON, ON-OFF-ON, and momentary functions with spring return. The switch bases are available with different voltages and lighting solutions, including bulb and LED variants. Select the switch base according to the installation's circuit, voltage, terminal configuration, load, and desired lighting.
For panel construction, the actuator can be combined with compatible Contura bezel parts. Switch base, light source, mounting bezel, and any removal tools are not included.
