This Carling Contura rocker switch is a panel-mounted switch for 12 V electrical systems. This variant features an (ON)-OFF-(ON) switching function, 7 terminals, and is suitable for controlling flaps and trim tabs.
Both ON outer positions are momentary with spring return. When the rocker is released, it automatically returns to the center OFF position. The switch has a maximum load of 20 A at 12 V.
The ingress protection rating is IP56. The switch is mounted in a rectangular panel cutout measuring 21 × 37 mm, and the rocker/actuator is included. This variant is also equipped with an indicator light.
The switch configuration includes two mechanically linked contact groups. The wiring diagram shows terminals 1, 2, and 3 in the first group, and terminals 4, 5, and 6 in the second. The product has a total of 7 terminals; the seventh terminal must not be assigned a function without consulting the relevant wiring diagram.
For creating integrated switch panels, frames for a single switch are available under item no. 14.197.63 in white and 14.197.03 in black. Center pieces are available as 14.197.61 and 14.197.01, end pieces as 14.197.62 and 14.197.02, and locking/blanking plugs as 14.197.64 and 14.197.04.
