This Carling Technologies Contura II illuminated rocker switch insert has an ON-OFF-ON function with three stationary positions. This variant is designed for 24 V lighting and features six terminals and two red LEDs.
The two LEDs each have their own function. One provides constant illumination for the symbol on the rocker actuator, making the switch easy to locate in the dark. The other illuminates the slot below the symbol as an operating indicator when the connected device is activated.
The switch insert is IP56-rated and designed for panel mounting in a 21.5 × 36.8 mm rectangular cutout. The switch insert itself has an installation depth of 39 mm. The maximum contact load is 20 A at 12 V and 15 A at 24 V.
The ON-OFF-ON function is suitable for, among other things, selecting between automatic and manual operation of a bilge pump. This variant is also recommended for controlling navigation lights, as well as masthead and anchor lights.
A Contura II rocker actuator with the desired symbol must be ordered separately. For navigation lights, item no. 14.193.01, 14.193.31, 14.193.61, or 14.194.01 can be used, depending on the desired finish. For bilge pumps, item nos. 14.193.07, 14.193.37, 14.193.67, and 14.194.07 are available. Neutral actuators without symbols are available as item nos. 14.193.09, 14.193.39, 14.193.69, and 14.194.09.
