This Carling Technologies Contura II illuminated rocker switch module features a momentary (ON)-OFF function and a red LED for 12 V DC. It is designed for panel-mounted marine electrical installations and is recommended for momentary operation of equipment such as horns and boat toilets.
The parentheses in (ON) indicate that the ON position is momentary. The switch remains activated during operation and automatically returns to OFF when released. The LED indicator lights up when the connected function is active. The switch module has four terminals and a maximum current capacity of 20 A at 12 V.
The switch mounts into a rectangular panel cutout of 21.5 × 36.8 mm. The IP56 rating provides protection against dust and powerful water jets, making the module suitable for protected marine control panels and other demanding electrical installations.
The switch module is supplied without a symbol rocker. A compatible Contura II symbol rocker must therefore be selected and ordered separately. For horns, items such as 14.194.03, 14.193.63, 14.193.33 or 14.193.03 can be used. For toilet pumps, symbol rockers 14.193.93 and 14.193.83 are available.
For mounting, separate black frame parts are available with item nos. 14.197.03, 14.197.01, 14.197.02 and 14.197.04, as well as corresponding white frame parts with item nos. 14.197.63, 14.197.61, 14.197.62 and 14.197.64.
