This Carling Technologies Contura II illuminated rocker switch insert is a panel-mounted ON-ON switch for 24 V electrical systems. The switch features two maintained ON positions and is intended for, among other things, operating the same lamp or lighting circuit from two different locations.
The insert features two red LEDs with separate functions. One LED illuminates the symbol on the associated rocker and is constantly on, allowing the switch to be located in the dark. The second LED serves as a status indicator and illuminates the area below the symbol when the connected function is activated.
The switch is designed for snap-in panel mounting and requires a rectangular panel cutout of 21.5 × 36.8 mm. The approximate chassis and front dimensions are 25 mm in width, 49 mm in height, and 39 mm in mounting depth. The IP56 rating makes the switch insert suitable for protected marine electrical panels where moisture and water spray may occur.
The maximum electrical load is 15 A at 24 V. The external Contura rocker or actuator with symbol is not included and must be selected separately according to the installation's function. Compatible symbol rockers can be found in the 14.193 and 14.194 series, while a black single frame with item no. 14.197.03 can be used when mounting one switch.
