This Carling V-Series Contura II illuminated rocker switch module is a three-position ON-OFF-ON switch for panel mounting in marine electrical installations. This variant is designed for 12 V and features six terminals and white bulbs for the dual illumination function.
The switch has three fixed positions: ON, OFF, and ON. It is recommended for applications such as selecting between automatic and manual operation of a bilge pump, as well as for controlling navigation and mast lights. The maximum load is 20 A at 12 V.
The dual illumination makes the switch's function clear in the dark. When the module is properly connected, one bulb constantly illuminates the symbol on the rocker so the switch can be located. The second bulb illuminates a separate slot below the symbol when the connected function is activated.
The switch module is rated IP56 and is mounted in a rectangular panel cutout of 21.5 × 36.8 mm. The approximate external dimensions are 25 mm in width, 49 mm in height, and 39 mm in depth. The height measurement is based on the series' common dimensional drawing and is not separately specified with or without the installed rocker.
The function-labeled Contura symbol rocker is not included and must be selected separately according to the intended application. For bilge pumps, rockers such as 14.193.07, 14.193.37, 14.193.67, and 14.194.07 can be used. For navigation lights, 14.193.01, 14.193.31, 14.193.61, and 14.194.01 are available, while 14.193.02, 14.193.32, 14.193.62, and 14.194.02 feature an anchor light symbol. Neutral rockers without symbols are available as 14.193.09, 14.193.39, 14.193.69, and 14.194.09.
Mounting frames and related application
For single mounting, a black frame 14.197.03 and a white frame 14.197.63 are available. The series also includes inserts and blank plugs for modular panel assemblies. The switch module can also be used as a switch for spotlight 13.310.12.
