This Centek Vernalift Top wet exhaust muffler with side inlet and top outlet is designed for marine wet exhaust systems on inboard engines, sailboat auxiliary engines, and generators. This version has 40 mm connections at both the inlet and outlet.
Exhaust gas and cooling water are routed through the side-mounted inlet and out through the top outlet. The Vernalift design combines water management in the exhaust system with exhaust noise reduction and can be installed above or below the waterline.
The muffler is manufactured from fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP), which is suitable for contact with gasoline or diesel exhaust mixed with salt or fresh water. The material is resistant to corrosion and electrolysis and has no weld seams that can be attacked in the wet marine environment.
Inlet A and outlet B both measure 40 mm. The horizontal dimension C across the product's foot/base is 178 mm, while the vertical dimension D from the base to the top of the housing is 203 mm. This version is rated for gasoline engines up to 35 HP and diesel engines up to 15 HP.
The Vernalift series meets or exceeds the requirements of ABYC P-1. The series is classified with good sound attenuation and a specified attenuation range of 15–18 dB; this is a series classification and not an individual laboratory measurement for this specific variant.
