This Climma seawater accessory kit for marine air conditioning systems contains the components for establishing the seawater circuit in compatible Climma Compact and Split systems. The kit is intended for 8,000-16,000 BTU/h systems and brings together the central parts for water intake, filtration, circulation, and discharge.
The seawater circuit leads cooling water from the hull intake through a valve, filter, and pump to the air conditioner's water-cooled condenser and on to the overboard discharge. The kit consists of a 120 W seawater pump, a 1/2″ scoop/grate through-hull intake, a valve, a 1/2″ seawater filter, and a chrome-plated 1/2″ through-hull seawater discharge.
The uniform 1/2″ connection sizes at the intake, filter, and discharge make the kit suitable for standard seawater installation. Thread standard, pump voltage, pump capacity, and pump type are not specified and must therefore be checked on the components and in the accompanying installation instructions before mounting and electrical connection.
When installing, place the scoop intake with the opening facing forward toward the bow of the boat. The suction line should be routed as short as possible and with a continuous rise without water traps. Reinforced hose and double stainless steel hose clamps are recommended on the suction side. Hoses and hose clamps are not specified as part of the kit's contents.
The kit is compatible with the Climma Split 8,000 BTU/h, item no. 50.241.08, as well as the Climma Compact systems of 9,000, 12,000, and 16,000 BTU/h with item numbers 50.241.09, 50.241.12, and 50.241.16. Air accessories for the systems are selected separately according to the system model.
