CLIMMA Split direct expansion marine air conditioning system is a 220 V system with a nominal cooling capacity of 8,000 Btu/h. The system is designed for air conditioning a single cabin or adjacent rooms on board, especially where space constraints make a combined monoblock unit less suitable.
The system consists of a separate compressor unit and evaporator unit, which can be mounted physically apart. The evaporator is placed in the area to be air-conditioned, while the compressor can be installed in an adjacent area. This configuration provides flexible space utilization and can reduce noise in the cabin.
The Climma Split series is designed specifically for marine installation and features a water-cooled condenser, a quiet and rotatable blower, and a slim, high-efficiency heat exchanger. The blower direction can be adjusted to the placement of the air duct, while the Dry-Pan system prevents problems with condensation. The system uses an environmentally friendly refrigerant.
A digital Climma MK3 control panel is included and functions as a cabin thermostat. The evaporator must have access to cabin air and be connected to a suitable air distribution system. The air filter and condensate drain must be positioned so that they are accessible for cleaning, maintenance, and proper drainage of condensation.
Installation and accessories
The compressor and evaporator are connected by refrigerant pipes. Air ducts should be kept short and routed without sharp bends, and the duct diameter must not be reduced relative to the blower connection. Electrical installation as well as work on the refrigerant circuit must be performed by qualified personnel.
For the seawater circuit, there is a separate accessory kit, item no. 50.241.50, with a 120 W seawater pump, 1/2" seawater intake, 1/2" outlet, valve, and filter. The air accessory kit, item no. 50.241.20, includes, among other things, a 6 m insulated duct with a 100 mm diameter, plenum, and intake and outlet grilles. An additional air outlet can be established with item no. 50.241.25, which contains a 100 × 100 × 100 mm 3-way fitting and a closable air outlet of Ø 100 mm. The accessory kits are separate items.
