CMC electro-hydraulic motor lift for outboard motors is a Power-Lift PL-65 jackplate for vertical height adjustment of outboard motors in the V6 class and smaller. The motor lift is mounted between the boat's transom and the motor's mounting bracket, allowing the motor height to be adjusted electrically from the helm.
The integrated, self-contained hydraulic actuator is powered by 12 V DC and has its own fluid reservoir. Therefore, no separate hydraulic tank, pump, or hydraulic hoses are required inside the boat. The electro-hydraulic lift travel is 125 mm, the lift speed is 93 mm/min., and the design provides a 140 mm setback from the transom. Mechanical mounting options of 1½" on both the motor and transom side provide a total possible height adjustment range of up to 8".
The motor lift is manufactured from extruded 6061-T6 aluminum alloy with ½" aluminum extrusions, stainless steel fasteners, and aluminum-bronze bearings. The roller design features a ¾" stainless steel shaft and is precision-machined to reduce friction and binding. The construction has no welded or cast main parts and is intended for use in both freshwater and saltwater. The electro-hydraulic unit is waterproof and fully submersible, though no numerical IP rating is specified.
The product's main dimensions are 460 × 418 mm, and the net weight is 21.5 kg. The jackplate is pre-drilled for standardized BIA mounting hole patterns. If the boat or motor does not use the standard pattern, drilling may be necessary in accordance with the motor manufacturer's installation instructions. Always check clearance for the steering system, motor cowling, and transom, even when the motor is tilted fully up.
A position gauge, wiring harness, and up/down rocker switch are included. The switch is mounted so that the motor height can be operated alongside the throttle. The mounting kit includes four ½"-13 × 3" stainless steel hex bolts as well as associated stainless steel nuts, spring washers, and flat washers. When mounting a V6 motor, load-distributing support plates are recommended at the transom; CMC 20022 and 20032 are proven support plates for this application.
The adjustable motor height can be adapted to speed, water conditions, and the boat's load. A higher motor position can reduce draft and affect propeller slip, but too great a height can lead to cavitation or insufficient cooling water pressure. Therefore, start height adjustment at low speed, hold the steering wheel firmly, and monitor cooling water pressure for high-performance installations.
Product references and spare parts
The model has manufacturer part number 65001 / CMC65001 and the proven distributor reference CMC65001Q. Proven spare parts include hydraulic actuator 7050, position gauge 6077, wiring harness 7014G, relay 7493, aluminum-bronze roller 6103, and switch plate 6032. Relay 7493 replaces the previous relay number 7312 in relevant wiring harnesses.
For hydraulic service, the actuator can be filled with Mystik #2216 or equivalent, SAE 20 or SAE 30 non-detergent oil, or tilt/trim fluid.
