This Coastlight self-inflating life raft in a valise has a capacity of 10 people and is intended for sailing up to 12 nautical miles from the coast. The soft storage bag has handles that facilitate transport and handling on board.
The packed life raft has approximate dimensions of 65 × 29 × 35 cm and weighs 39 kg. The construction includes water ballast pockets, which contribute to the stability of the raft in the water, as well as a boarding ladder for entry.
The life raft is approved according to the Italian regulations D.M. 29/07/2008 and D.D. 02/03/2009 and has Italian flag compliance. The first service inspection must be carried out three years after the date of the first packing and thereafter every two years. The specific service status must always be checked on the raft's markings, packing date, and service label, as well as in relation to applicable national requirements.
Standard equipment includes one sea anchor with line, one lifebuoy with line, two floating paddles, immediate action instructions, one floating knife with pocket, one bailer, two sponges, one whistle, one repair kit, and one waterproof flashlight with battery and spare bulb or spare light. Also included is 0.250 liters of drinking water per person, a total of 2.5 liters, as well as 12 seasickness bags.
SOLAS hand flares, parachute flares, floating smoke signals, emergency rations, seasickness tablets, first aid kits, thermal protective aids, radar reflectors, and fishing kits are not part of the documented standard equipment.
