This Coastlight self-inflating liferaft in a soft bag has a capacity for 4 people and is intended as safety equipment for pleasure and leisure boats sailing up to 12 nautical miles from the coast. The raft is supplied packed in a soft transport bag with carrying handles.
The self-inflating system makes the raft ready for use in an emergency. The construction includes water ballast pockets for stabilization as well as a boarding ladder that facilitates access to the raft from the water. The nominal dimensions when packed are 66 × 28 × 27 cm, and the nominal product weight is 25 kg.
The included emergency equipment consists of a sea anchor with a line, a lifebuoy with a line, two floating paddles, a floating knife with a pocket, a bailer, two sponges, a whistle, a repair kit, and a manual pump. Also included are instructions for immediate action, 12 seasickness bags, and a waterproof flashlight with a battery and spare light source.
The drinking water ration is 0.250 liters per person, totaling 1 liter for this 4-person variant. SOLAS hand flares, parachute rockets, buoyant smoke signals, food rations, seasickness pills, first aid kits, and thermal protective aids are not included.
The liferaft complies with Italian regulations D.M. 29/07/2008 and D.D. 02/03/2009 and is approved for the Italian flag. The approval references for the 4-person variant are DN-254 and MIT 494-2020. The first service inspection must be performed three years after the initial packing and every two years thereafter.
