This Cobra floating walkie-talkie is the perfect radio for your next hike, camping trip or other outdoor adventure. The AM1055 FLT two-way radios come pre-charged and ready to use right out of the box and have a maximum range of 12+ km. The radios' compact design and rubberized grips make them easy to carry in wet and dusty environments, and even if you drop them in water, the floating and waterproof (IPX7 standard) design makes them ready for anything you or Mother Nature might throw at them. PMR is an open system completely free of license fees and other costs. This means that anyone can use a PMR radio without any special approval or expense. An open system means that devices of different types or makes can communicate with each other.
PMR is the natural choice for the family or group of friends on a skiing holiday, car, boat or motorcycle trip, in nature or in the city. In short, PMR is ideal for groups who need to stay in touch and where mobile phones are too expensive, do not work, or are turned off.
